First, let's make a capsule button (or pill button if you prefer). Start by making a rectangle using the Rectangle Tool (R) and then holding Ctrl (Control if you're on Mac) and moving the circle node away from the starting point all the way until you can no longer stretch it. Then, make another rectangle and round it and make sure that it is inside of the capsule and that it is above the center of the capsule but not in the middle of the top edge of the capsule. Then, apply a gradient that starts from the top and ends from the bottom. Make sure that the top color is #FFFFFFFF and the bottom color is #FFFFFF00.
Then, add an ellipse that is lighter than the base color and sits directly below the gradient (gloss) but not touching the middle of the bottom edge of the capsule. After that, blur the ellipse to around 50% or 60%. You've made a Frutiger Aero button! Give yourself a pat on the back!
